A truly stunning villa at Hurissalo, situated on Finland’s famous Lake Saimaa. The villa is situated in the heart of Finland’s lake district and is 264km from Helsinki Vantaa airport and 133km from Lappeenranta airport. The villa is close to main transport routes including road and rail links to Mikkeli. The villa is ideally located to enjoy the sign-posted boat routes through the Vuolte Canal to experience some of Finland’s finest natural beauty and rock scenery. This region is extremely peaceful, and visitors can enjoy the tranquil surroundings in total privacy (no close neighbours). From the jetty, you can relax and enjoy Lake Saimaa’s pure waters and surrounding views of beautiful forest and countryside views. The sandy beach invites you to relax, play, socialize or swim. There are various ways to sunbathe on the jetty, beach or on the numerous patio areas. The main building Originally built in 1986, the main building has been extended and completely refurbished in 2006. The main building offers a large living space of around 150 m2 and includes a lounge, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, separate toilet, two bedrooms and an open-plan loft for additional sleeping space. The main building benefits from around 200 m2 of covered patio areas allowing ample space for socializing. Summer-kitchen To the rear of the main building, there’s a stunning summer-kitchen, full of character and a wonderful area to relax and share magic moments. The summer-kitchen has a natural stone fireplace, wood stove with grill, gas cookers, fridge, sink and ample cupboards for storage. The summer-kitchen lounge enjoys stunning views over the covered patio areas and to the beach. The lounge also has a natural-stone fireplace and the dining area has a brick fireplace. In the loft there are facilities for sleeping 2+2 people and the main building has sleeping facilities for 8 people. The villa has a quality Sonos music system and Bose speakers in both the indoor and outdoor areas. The Beach Sauna The beach sauna is a log sauna from Honkarakenne, with a shower, sauna cabin and a large porch, in which there is also a wood-heated hot tub from Kirami. From the lake there is a stunning view to Lake Saimaa and direct access to the large jetty. The sauna cabin has sleeping facilities for 2 people. Sleeping cabin The sleeping cabin is a log cabin, with two floors. On the ground floor there are two separate sleeping facilities and upstairs there is a large bedroom. Altogether there are sleeping facilities for 7 people. Other buildings Garage / car shelter / woodshed / Biolan outdoor toilet / boat shelter Outdoor leisure equipment includes: Rowing boat, two stand-up paddle boards, snow shoes, Honda 500cc quad bike (Possibility to hire a Yamarin 79DC 300hp motorboat or book a day trip.
