Villa Tunturipuro is located in the Salla ski center in Lapland close to the resort services and activities, and the Salla National Park.
The four-bedroom villa is ecologically heated by geothermal energy (underfloor heating). The cosy open concept kitchen and living space combines Scandinavian design with traditional Finnish elements. The large windows offer a view on a beautiful candle spruce forest and fells that loom in the background. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances and tableware for twelve persons. In the two bigger bedrooms there are double beds (W160 cm x L200 cm), and bunk beds (W120 cm) in the smaller ones. Taking the sauna and hot tub (both heated by wood) after a day of outdoor activities is very relaxing for your mind and body.
You can enjoy the outdoors on your own - there are ski slopes and tracks as well as hiking trails and snowmobile routes in the area - or you can contact the local tourist services for guided activities (e.g., Husky, reindeer and snowmobile safaris.) Reaching and exploring the Salla National Park with its old forests, swamps and fells is easy since the nearest entrance is only a five-minute walk away from the villa.
Whether you want to exercise outdoor activities experience and connect with the surrounding nature, the Sallatunturi resort has something unique to offer in every season of the year. During the polar night you can marvel at the snow-covered trees and the shades of blue, violet and purple that the darkness takes on. In winter and early spring (from January to March) you can enjoy the glittering snow drifts as the sun gets higher in the sky. in April and May you can witness the awakening of nature as the snow starts melting and the migrating birds return from the south. In the summer you can experience the midnight sun and all the smells of the forests and nature. The vivid colours of autumn are breathtaking, and as the nights get darker there is a good opportunity to see the northern lights.
