Villa Olaf

Villa Olaf invites you to enjoy the nature of Lapland throughout the year! This 2024 built cottage is located in a stunning location, by a lake in the peaceful Nilivaara area in Äkäslompolo. Observe the Northern Lights from the beach overlooking the fell or enjoy the child-friendly natural sandy beach in the summers. You can also easily go stand-up paddleboarding with the cottage's own paddleboard. The ski trail runs next to the plot, and services are easily accessible. This spacious semi-detached house accommodates 6 + 2 people and offers modern comforts and high-quality beds. Both downstairs bedrooms have double beds that can be arranged together or separately. The loft upstairs has beds for two and a wide Karup Design sofa bed with a futon mattress (130 cm). Additionally, there is a guest mattress available for use as a spare bed. The beds, duvets, and pillows are new and comfortable. A travel cot and other baby equipment are available for the little ones. The loft has its own toilet and a lounge area for playing games and watching TV. Downstairs, alongside the two bedrooms, there are a living room, kitchen, sauna, bathroom, utility room, and two toilets. The cottage's interior design was done in collaboration with an interior designer, utilizing high-quality, mostly second-hand design items. Ski trails as well as cycling and hiking trails start right from the property. The supermarket and other services are less than 2 km away. In winter you can reach the services by crossing the lake (1 km). The slopes are 4 km away, and the SkiBus stop is only 400 meters away. You can easily enjoy your stay here without a car! You can arrive by night train to Kolari (40 km) or by flying to Kittilä (50 km). Both locations have bus connections to Äkäshotelli, from where it's a short walk (appr. 1 km) or taxi ride to the cottage. If you arrive by electric car, there is a charging station available at the cabin. The cabin's mountain bike with wider plus-size tires (suitable for approx. 170-190 cm tall individuals) is at your disposal in summers and winters. There is storage space for outdoor gear in the outdoor storage room, including two sleds, a ski waxing stand, and an iron. Remote work is possible with WiFi connection, which has a 200 Mb 4G connection. The cottage is also suitable for those with allergies, as no pets are allowed.
