Villa Joentörmä: Peace and Nature on the Banks of the Kymijoki River
Welcome to Villa Joentörmä, nestled on the banks of the Kymijoki river, right at the edge of a protected nature reserve at the end of a quiet dead-end road.
Heading upstream, there are no other cottages for several kilometres, and the river's many branches offer stunning scenery and peaceful waterways. Joentörmä is also within easy reach of Strömfors Ironworks, where you will find restaurants, a shop and summer events. The motorway is just 4 km away, putting Helsinki only a little over an hour's drive. Nearby you will also find an ABC service station and Aeronautica Arena.
The Buildings
Main House (120 m²)
A spacious living and dining area, fully equipped kitchen, utility room, bathroom with two showers, a separate WC and two generously sized bedrooms with double beds.
Guest House
A large room with a double bed, a sofa bed, a small kitchenette with a fridge and microwave, and its own WC.
Lakeside Sauna
Sauna room, bathroom with two showers, lounge area with a fireplace and WC. From the sauna terrace you will find the hot tub, or you can take a dip in the river directly from the large jetty.
Important Information
Joentörmä is designed for peaceful and relaxed stays. The villa is not suitable for parties or large gatherings. Maximum capacity is 6+2 persons. Minimum rental period is 6 nights.
